THE THREE THING
Sunday January 24th, 2016
MODELS: Gracie Be, Asia Clariett, Tasha Sunday
MUAH: Kassie Perzanowski
FASHION STYLIST: Alexis Shears
PHOTOGRAPHER: Sherman Orendorf
Location : The Hair Dept. (Go Check Them Out)
Fashion Stylist Alexis Shears wrote this about what is behind her thinking for the styling of the wardrobe please follow the link at the end of this blog post to her website www.TheLuellalane.com
The first editorial of 2016 started off with the AHHHmazing editorial “the three thing”.
BEHIND THE NAME: The Three Thing
I knew for this editorial I wanted to play with the core of colors as I like to call them (Black and White) I wanted to contrast and play off of them in a powerful fashion way. I also knew that for this, I wanted to have three models that were completely different. “The three thing” has that kind of sass of power to it that combines with the three models.
BEHIND THE WARDROBE:
For the Wardrobe, I wanted to portray contrast and play off the models appearances as well. modern sleek lines of the clothing to give a Powerful take.
Model One: ALL Black with burgundy and black fur vest
Model Two: ALL White with a natural caramel fur vest
Model Thee: ALL Black with A POP of Pink

what to wear for your model portfolio shoots?
first of there is not really a right or wrong answer to this question, so these are just suggestions not the be all or the everything in picking wardrobe... i will say this though i got all my suggestions from models portfolios that are being used right now in the biggest agency's so you really need to pay attention to what they are doing right now....
Dis-clamor none of these images are mine i am solely using them to show what type of wardrobe could be used in shooting a portfolio
okay lets get right into it

Top 5 rules of Social Media Etiquette
#1 Never post critique on a business page other than your own
#2 don’t air your dirty laundry on your personal page!!
#3 Never post your work on some else’s post
#4 never edit another photographer's images or art without permission
#5 be positive and try to encourage art!!! we all started somewhere and we can all grow together!!!
which is more important building a great model portfolio or networking with the right people!
#1 which is more important building a great model portfolio or networking with the right people?
DEPENDS ON WHAT TYPE OF MODELING YOU WANT TO DO
are you a agency model or a independent nude/art/tattoo
. general point is they are both important but in different times in a models growth…
AGENCY MODEL
month 1-6 GO BIG ON PORTFOLIO
month 7-12 GO BIG ON NETWORKING
#2 year you need to go get the best portfolio that money can buy or you can hook up with awesome photographers and stylist get a awesome PRINTED PORTFOLIO AND GO TO AGENCIES!!!! at that point if you are not getting signed you are either not shooting with the right photog or not going to the right agency.. have a some serious self searching at this point and figure out what is your next move!!!! my suggestion is that you completely rework your port and start hitting agency’s again..
#3 art nude modeling and tattoo modeling
TOTALLY DIFFERENT
month 1-6 you take almost every SAFE OPPORTUNITY YOU HAVE TO SHOOT!!
you are building your network of clients with each shoot, so show up on time and have fun
don’t act like you have something better to do!
months 7-12 make a website start charging for shoots that you already have in your port or that the work is not going to be as good as what you already have.
year #2
get the best portfolio that money can buy or that you can trade for and make your website even stronger….
still take in high number of shoots but be MORE SELECTIVE WITH WHO IT IS YOUR SHOOTING WITH!!.......about 6 months in you need to start traveling!!!!! and welcome the life of a traveling model because this is where the money is at!!!!
